MOVIES:
I finally got to watch 50 First Dates. That was such a good movie that you just won't believe it. If you haven't seen it, get off your ass and go rent it. Very good. I kind of cried a little in some places, but that was mostly from laughing, though it had a few sad moments when I thought the ending was going to be a tear-jerker. Adam Sandler is once again a very funny man, and Drew Barrymore was herself, which is always of the good. 'Gan gives it: 10 mochas with whipped cream.
My brother bought me Hellboy on Tuesday. It was pretty good, but I'm kind of glad I didn't waste my money on a trip to the movie theater to see it. Sorry to everyone that loves it, but 'Gan gives it: 7-1/2 mochas.
I saw the Butterfly Effect with Ashton Kutcher, and all I have to say is "Whoa." Definitely watch worthy if you like a movie that really gets you to think. If you like happy romances, then maybe you should give this one a miss. Otherwise, yeah. 'Gan gives it: 9-3/4 mochas.
The Legend of 1900 was on the Independent Film Channel, and I just have to say that it was great. Maybe some parts were a little slow running, and if you like action-packed movies you probably want to give it a miss, but if you like bittersweet drama, then you'll like this one. 'Gan gives it: 8 mochas.
TV:
I am in love with Quintuplets. I know it's a stupid half-hour comedy on FOX, but that doesn't matter. The show makes me laugh my ass off, and I don't even mind that it has Andy Richter on it. The guy playing Parker is a hottie, Pearce is hilarious, Penny makes me think of my sister on a bad day, and the situation those kids get into is beyond the bend. 'Gan gives it: 9 mochas.
My new cartoon to search for is Megas XLR on the Cartoon Network. Giant robots, fat lazy slobs, and the slamming of conventional anime ideals. "Zorph? What the heck's a zorph?" "Living here in Jersey fighting villains from afar/ you gotta find first gear in your giant robot car./ You dig giant robots/ I dig giant robots/ we dig giant robots/ chicks dig giant robots./ Nice." 'Gan gives it: 10 mochas with whipped cream.
As always, CSI: Crime Scene Investigators is on my list of 10 Most Watched Shows, even though I no longer have CBS and am relegated to watching reruns on SPIKE. Still, 'Gan gives it: 10 mochas.
BOOKS:
You really want to read Tinker by Wen Spencer. Sci-fi/fantasy with elves and stuff. Great plot, though I'm too lazy to describe it in any detail ::smirk:: Go read it, read it now. 'Gan gives it: 8 mochas.
