feygan | where did all the fanfic go?

I've been rotting my brain with the sugary sweet awesomeness of "She's the Man" fanfic, and the wonderfully warped pairing of Penny/Sheldon of "The Big Bang Theory." But then, when my great desire for "Pandorum" fic surfaced, I was horrified to discover THAT THERE IS NONE! What the hell, man? Where's all the Pandorum writers?

I can see something C.J. Cherryh like about them all starting out on a brand new planet. Or I can see someone waking up onboard the ship being hunted by the creatures. Or I can see a serious epic about how the Captain, ruling his kingdom on the ship, exiles a bunch of people to the cargo hold where after centuries of scavenging and degradation they evolve into monsters.

Or if someone was really cool, I can see a Highlander Immortal wandering the ship of horrors. Or maybe the ship crosses path with the city-ship of Dark City. Or... yeah. I wants me some Pandorum fanfic, dammit!

BTW, saw "Whip It." Thought it was going to be awesomer, was a bit disappointed :( Still, Ellen Page is adorable in her geektatude.

Also, everyone should totally read Lauralot's fanfic at www. fanfiction.net/u/1100763/lauralot because I'm totally in love with Jonathan Crane now and her series starting with "Mad Friends" has totally changed my world. In the way that I have now read WAY too much Batman Begins/Dark Knight pron. Still, very pleased.

Re: Pandorum - I know, right? Just finished watching the movie, and while I won't say it's my favourite film of the year, it really made me want to write fic about it. Of course, my brain went immediately to the porny possiblities, and I was kind of disappointed that Gallo turned out to be Payton's delusion, 'cause, man, I was getting some serious vibes between the two. But that's just me ;)

By the way, hi *waves sheepishly*. You don't know me, but you seem to be the only other person looking for Pandorum fic. I must seem really weird and not a little creepy. Feel free to ignore me :) *goes back to lurking*

At this point, I wouldn't even mind some non-slash Pandorum fic. Though I like it better when someone takes their writing seriously and puts some thought into. I have a "thing" for epics, though even one-shots have their charm.

I've been look everywhere for Pandorum fanfic. Why is there NONE? It's got a good story and compelling characters plus with all the pods at the end and the "new life" and all it's great OC fodder, too. If you find any, let me know. Het, slash, whatever, anything.

I agree! I'm watching the movie right now, as a matter of fact(...for the fifth time) and I thought "Let's look up some Pandorum fanfic. So I go online to find...NOTHING!! You would think there would be, after all of the most unusual fics there are. You know what? I'm going to write one, it won't be long, but I'll definitely put some thought into it. This is absolutely ridiculous! You should take a look at my profile on fanfiction. net : xoglowergrinox123 in a couple of days. I might not have finished my other two stories, but I will finish this one. I promise! I'll start right now!

So I just add that I am too looking for Pandorum fanfic. If I could write, I'd do them myself cause that movie provides so many great possibilities for epics as well as shorts. Well, back to searching. ;)

out of all the obscure fandoms out there, i'm honestly surprised there is nothing for this movie. it wasn't a big hit and i never even heard of it until i was digging around sci-fi/horror movies on icefilms, but it has a decent imbd score and was a fun watch. there is so much opportunity here for writing!

It doesn't even have to be pairing fic. It can just be character pieces, or some kind of history of how everything got so f'd to the up on that ship. Think about it. Some truly horrific things had to be going on to turn a bunch of scientists and colonists into a bunch of crazy man-eating creatures.
