News Dump

Busily watching Between the Lions with the toddler and the egg. I seem to be more into the show than they are. Very disturbing.

This is definitely a case for Animal Cops==> O-kay...

SUBJECTS:

Angel

All right, there's only one really important thing I can say about the episode: If they couldn't get Sarah Michelle Gellar to guest, they should have just scrapped the storyline and gone with something else, maybe something that would have furthered the overriding story of "the end is NOW." Plus, that whole Ilyria/Fred thing? Kind of disturbing. Though Amy Ackerton did an awesome job switching from one to the other expression wise. Wow.

The HoYay! elements were all there, with the tongue in cheek little comments about Angel and Spike's history and their current "relationship," but... well, the episode didn't really do anything for me, even though I did laugh a few times. Very disappointing.

And what was the deal with Andrew's hair? And, hey, wasn't he supposed to be running around Europe with XANDER? Come on, what happened to all the XAndrew we were expecting? Just burst are dreamy little bubbles, you bastards.

The Family CLex

My series of Clark&Lex happy-ever-after stories. Right now, I'm thinking about posting a few out of sequence fics: A CLex Family Easter, A CLex Family Christmas, and A CLex Family New Years. But I'm really not sure about posting them, because what if they totally go against what's to happen in the future stories? That would suck, and I'm too lazy to do a bunch of major rewrites and reposts, not without some kind of monetary gain. Dammit.

Run Lola Run

I loved this movie the first time I saw it, and it's still an interesting premise, but...

I was watching it the other night with friends, and when they were all like, "This is stupid," I sadly had to agree. What a bummer.

The ONION: Ad Nauseam

Bought this and have been laughing my ass off ever since. The font is kind of tiny because they took newspaper sized pages and shrunk them down to fit, but still. Very good, though I'm not done with it yet.

It's the Complete News Archives Volume 13, from October 2000-October 2001. So it's all pretty old news wise, but it's still funny. Sure, some of the stuff is more cruel than funny, but even then you have to laugh, because that's basically what people are all about. The Asshole Factor. Yeah.

Negima

Del Rey has started their own line of translated Japanes mangas. What this means: More manga available for us poor non-Japanese speaking/reading round eyes. Very good.

I picked "Negima" up at Barnes and Noble. Not as good as some I've read, but still fairly amusing. I've grown out of a lot of the humor involved in it, but that hasn't stopped me reading a manga, watching an anime, or renting a porn yet. So yay Del Rey!
