feeling stupid

You know you've become too attached to your ReplayTV or TiVo when, without even thinking about it, you try to fast-forward live TV then are all pissed off because you can't figure out why it's not working.

Book Recs:
Terry Pratchett's Discworld series
L.E. Modesitt Jr's "Parafaith War"
Lois McMaster Bujold's "Curse of Chalion," "Paladin of Souls," and "The Hallowed Hunt"
Wen Spencer's "Tinker"
Judith Tarr's "The Hound and the Falcon," "Alamut," "The Dagger and the Cross," "Avaryan Rising," "Avaryan Resplendent"
Jim Grimsley's Kirith Kirin
Katie Waitman's "The Merro Tree"

errr..I do it all the time..and I actually get more pissed off when I realise I'm on live TV because that means I can't f-f the boring parts *hugs DVD recorder*

I've gotten ridiculously spoiled. Haven't figured out how to get my DVD recorder to work, because there seems to be some weird thing going on between it and my ReplayTV... currently it serves as a really expensive digital clock. Sigh.

ooh, I love all of those books.

If you liked "Parafaith War" you should read it's sequal "The Ethos Effect". It just came out, and it was pretty good.

I ordered "The Ethos Effect." Hopefully it'll come tomorrow :) Then I'd be happy.

I also liked his "Adiamante," and "Fall or Angels" and the rest. He tends to put out books that actually make me THINK, which is a truly strange event.

I know, I've read most of his works. I just love how his writing gives you deep thoughts to think about.
