eyePhone

Twitter is a million voices all babbling away at the same time. If the eyePhone (from Futurama) was real and everything was sent directly to your brain to such a degree that you can't see anything else... would you even notice the difference?

Think about it, if everything was constantly being updated straight to your brain, it would be like another version of real-time and your brain would compensate for the time lag. It naturally does it in other ways, so it would quickly adapt. Probably dizziness for a couple of days, then you're fine.

I'm totally going to use that concept in a story now. I just find it so fascinating. It's one of those things that digs its way into my brain.
