Duck Dynasty: A&E is dead to me
Dec. 27th, 2013 03:24 pmThe fact that A&E has ended Phil Robertson's suspension and is allowing Duck Dynasty to continue with him in it is absolutely disgusting to me. If they truly don't want to support his hate speech, then keep his ass off the show. Finish off the shows contract without him on it, include wide-sweeping PSAs, and don't back down like a bunch of bitches.
To me, actions speak louder than words. So what A&E has shown me is that they're weak, and even if they don't personally support such hate speech, they don't do anything to curtail it either. I don't think they even fined the guy. They gave him a week suspension, and now they're going to put him back out there same as before.
As such, I will no longer be watching A&E. It's not going to be that big of a loss, as their programming in recent years has gone severely downhill. Also, I feel insulted that in the time Phil Robertson was on suspension for being a loud-mouthed hate monger, the network felt it was a good idea to show a back-to-back Duck Dynasty marathon.
